The Blu Starter Kit is a comprehensive package. It comes with everything that a newcomer to the vaping scene would need to get started; a number of charging capabilities, two batteries and a variety pack of twenty five cartridges.

The e-cig itself is easy to assemble. Blu Cig’s efficient design has ensured that the three essential components are easily screwed into one another. You simply need to insert a full cartridge and ensure that the batteries are charged before you begin vaping.

Is the Charging Capability and Battery Life Good?

Compared to all other starter kits, the Blu Starter kit is unique in that it has a ‘pack’ included in the deal. This innovative feature can be used to simultaneously charge and store your two e-cig batteries while you’re out and about.

Blu Cigs claim that it will provide up to two days worth of battery power. After consistent vaping, we found that the batteries last for a day and a half at most. Even though Blu Cigs has overrated the battery pack lifespan, this test result is still far better than the 4 or 5 hours of power that you will get from a loose e-cig.

In addition to providing added battery lifespan, the pack is also a nice accessory – people generally don’t notice you are vaping if you take your e-cig from a pack that looks like a normal cigarette box.

Considering that it’s a starter kit, Blu Cigs hasn’t skimped on the charging capabilities either. Both the pack and the batteries can be charged with the standard wall outlet charger or the USB port charger. All of our testers found that the pack and the two batteries together with the two chargers made it possible for them to have a charged e-cig on hand at all times.

Does it Vape Well?

We have dedicated some time to vaping on their standard e-cig and have found very little wrong with it. It draws well and vapor production is very good. These factors contribute to a better overall taste, something that cannot be attributed to all electronic cigarette brands.

Is it Well Designed?

As a whole, we were impressed with the packaging of the Blu Starter Kit. The Blu logo design is edgy and cool, and we loved taking out the sleek black cigarette pack in front of other people. The Blu e-cigarettes are quite small and you have the choice of getting them in black or white.

Does it Come With an Option of Cartridge Flavors and Nicotine Strengths?

The Blu Starter Kit comes with a variety pack of twenty five cartridges. We could not find another brand that offered as many cartridges with a starter kit, let alone with as many flavor or strength options. You even have the choice to mix and match any of the five flavors that Blu Cigs offers – cherry crush, vivid vanilla, java jolt, magnificent menthol and classic tobacco.

For testing purposes we obviously tried all five flavors. Our favorite flavors are magnificent menthol and classic tobacco. Cherry crush and vivid vanilla were also pleasant, while the java jolt flavor tasted somewhat strange with hints of coffee and saltiness.

Does it Come With a Warranty and Good Customer Support?

The thirty day money back guarantee and one year warranty that comes with the Blu Starter Kit is well advertised. The fact that that Blu Cigs is willing to stand by their product is testament to their high standards.

However, there are mixed feelings in the e-cig community regarding the company’s promises. Unfortunately, we did find that shipping took a bit longer than promised and perhaps this is where the Blu Starter Kit lost some points. However, our testing left us feeling that this product was still worth the wait.

Is the Price Right?

There has been a lot of debate about the value of Blu Cigs; people tend to be suspicious of a company that doesn’t offer competitive prices in relation to other manufacturers. By comparison, other starter kits will set you back by more than double the price of this Blu Cigs product. After experiencing the Blu Starter Kit for ourselves though, we can officially put these ‘sacrificed quality’ rumors to rest.

We have dedicated some time to vaping on their standard e-cig and find very little wrong with it. It draws well, has a smooth and sophisticated look, and doesn’t cost you a fortune to refill. This simply means that with Blu Cigs you get to vape more than people who choose to spend $30 or more on cartridges.
